Mini-Piñata Valentine’s Favors
In honor of Well-Made Heart’s first official post day, I thought a fiesta would be appropriate! And what goes better with a fiesta and the month of February but a mini-piñata valentine’s favor!?! These little guys are so cute and fun, super easy to make and you can stuff them with anything from small candies like skittles or m&m’s, sweet notes or maybe even a small trinket 😉
What you’ll need:
- Tissue paper in two colors
- a thin cardboard (like from a cereal box)
- Donkey template you can print here
- tape
- Modpodge or elmer’s glue
- whatever candy/notes you’ll want to add inside
Let’s get this party started!
First, cut your templates from the cardboard.
Tape the two sides of the donkey about an inch apart with the computer paper.
If you want to add treats inside, make sure you leave a small hole on the donkey’s back.
Finish covering up the whole donkey with the paper.
Add your candy and trinkets now!
Begin cutting the tissue paper in long strips about an inch thick. Cut thin snippets into the strips.
Start adding the strips to the feet of the donkey. Put a line of glue down first, then wrap the strip all the way around.
Work your way up, alternating colors!
Once you get to the hole, you can place a small piece of tissue paper over it.
Work your way all the way up to the head- add eyes if you’d like- and that’s it!
Make a few more and give them to your friends!
Aaaaand that’s what i’ve got for ya this Monday!
Make sure to come back to Well-Made Heart as I fill it with fun things for a happy heart!
Don’t forget to:

This is such a wonderful, unique and creative idea for Valentines Day! Love it.
Thanks!! It’s super easy too 🙂
