Day 3: Nativity Topper
Wow! It’s Day Three already of this 12 Days of Handmade Gifts series! Today I’ve got a fun gift- maybe a great Stocking Stuffer! It’s a tiny Nativity- the perfect “Topper” to any cake or pie! Why can’t we put a Biblically great couple to top our deserts?!? It’s Christmas after all!
This Nativity Topper is fun for those holiday parties or get togethers! My mom loves Nativity scenes. Her house is full of them at this time of year! I figured that she didn’t have this particular Nativity set! 😉
This is an easy peasy little gift. Start with theese Mini Peg People. You’ll find them in any craft store, and most likely in the wedding decor isle.
They’re perfect! If you’d like you can also pick up some of these cone bristle trees. Now, go ahead and paint your Mary and Joseph! This is entirely up to you and you can add anything you want to them.
After- grab some twine and a popsicle stick. I had a thin craft stick.
You’ll make baby Jesus out of this! Break off a portion (works well if you cut it with scissors too, oops lol) and using hot glue, wrap the twine around the popsicle stick end leaving room for Baby Jesus’ face.
Glue to Mary! I think I made my Baby Jesus a bit hefty. lol, He was a big boy I guess.
And that’s it! Now, position them together…
On a Pie!
Serve it up at your party and you’re done!
It’s a fun tiny gift that’ll be a great stocking stuffer! The tiniest Nativity is now a Nativity Topper. Perf!
Here are the past 12 Days of Handmade Gifts posts! See them all and see you tomorrow for Day 4!
