Baby, it’s hot outside?! Ear Muff DIY
Um, yep- it’s officially crazy weather here in North Texas. And by crazy I don’t mean in the “oh, the weather outside is frightful”, I mean like- it’s HOT! I’m not a fan of hot weather on Christmas 🙁 Baby, it’s HOT outside is NOT fun to listen to!
BUT for those of you that are STILL having a magical wonderful white Christmas, here’s a simple and super easy Ear Muff DIY that you might appreciate. When I was planning my trip to New York, I was searching for some ear muffs since I knew we’d be walking around a ton outside. I didn’t find any that I could actually get- but I DID see these super fun ear muffs from Kate Spade that I thought were SUPER fun!
I love Kate Spade and while I don’t sport much of her stuff, except in the form of purses, I appreciate the color and boldness of her pieces. These ear muffs were so cute, but a tad expensive so I passed. Well, while walking around in NYC I passed a street vendor selling ear muffs for 5 bucks! Heck yes! Once I got back home to warm old’ Texas, I decided I could easily convert them into a Kate Spade lookalike!
These are so simple to make! Start with a set of earmuffs and the ribbon of your choice. I opted for this pink Blossom color ribbon from Paper Source.
Cut a strip and connect the ends with hot glue.
Find the middle of the stem of the earmuffs and put a tiny dot of hot glue to keep the ribbon in place. You can scrunch it up to give it that bow look.
Now take a small piece of ribbon and add a small dab of glue underneath of the stem and wrap around the bow.
Connect underneath with another dab of glue.
And that’s it!
Now go enjoy them in the pretend snow! lol Look at all that sunshine and green behind me, sigh..
For those of you in a cold place, enjoy!
